World famous "car festival upcoming 16th July 2026 in puri ,odisha".

famous “Car Festival” of Odisha is the Rath Yatra, also called the Jagannath Chariot Festival, held every year in Puri. It is one of India’s largest and most Hindu festivals, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and devi Subhadra. 

                                    






During the festival

The three deities are taken out from the Jagannath Temple.

They are placed on massive wooden chariots (raths).


Millions of devotees pull the chariots along the Grand Road (Bada Danda) to the Gundicha Temple.
